What Is Fated Reads?

Fated Reads are beautifully crafted, immersive reading experiences inspired by the themes and emotional essence of your book. Within each envelope lies a set of tarot spreads crafted exclusively for your story — woven from its scenes, its quotes, its quiet magic — setting the stage for a reading experience that brings your world vividly to life.

Each set is printed on cardstock and wrapped in a beautiful vellum, like a secret waiting to be unfolded. Tucked inside, you’ll also find bespoke bookmarks or stickers, each designed to echo the mood, aesthetic, and soul of your book.

Now, we’re offering authors, publishers, and PR companies the opportunity to commission Fated Reads as part of their promotional strategy. These are perfect for preorder incentives, influencer boxes, special edition campaigns, or fandom merch.

  • Your book does not need to have tarot in it for Fated Reads to work for you. They are a natural fit with all types of fantasy and romantasy books because the readers of that genre already enjoy the mystical and magical. Tarot is rapidly increasing in popularity so it piques the interest of a wide audience.

  • The tarot spreads that I create will be unique to your book using direct quotes, scenes, themes, and tropes. I will work with you to make sure that everything I design fits your vision and holds the essence of your story. You provide us any fonts, title art, character art, or cover art so that we can customize every aspect to make this fully branded, co-branded, or to include other assets like commissioned art prints or other branding from your publisher or imprint.

  • I charge an initial fee of $100 to cover the investment time of reading your book and designing all included assets. This fee is due prior to starting work on your book. You will be charged the wholesale rate of $5 per set for the final printed and assembled product. This fee is due before final assets are printed. Included in this pricing is your tarot spreads printed on cardstock, a vellum wrap sealed with an inner sticker, a bespoke co-branded bookmark, a custom vinyl sticker, a spoiler alert slip printed on cardstock, an outer envelope, and a co-branded outer sticker. Final assembled product measures 5”×7”. Inclusion of additional assets, extra customizations, or shifting from co-branded to fully branded will incur additional fees.

  • It takes 2 weeks for me to read your book and design assets for your approval. Once approved, it will take an additional 2 weeks for printing and assembling. However, my schedule fills up quickly, so I am typically booking out by a few months. The sooner you can get your inquiry in, the more likely it is that I’ll be able to schedule you in.

Send us an edited draft, ARC copy, or other edition along with any fonts, cover art or other commissioned art that captures your story’s energy.

Read & Craft

I’ll read your book so I can get the feel of it. Then I’ll work to design all of the individual pieces for your approval.

Delivery
